The Story of ORBIT

It started with a loop.

One Saturday at 5 AM, two friends met at a one-mile loop through Grandview in West Palm Beach. One was training for a marathon, so they ran it lap after lap for an hour and fifty minutes.

Before the city woke up, they kept coming back to the same streets. Somewhere between laps, an idea started taking shape.

What would happen if you built a whole festival around a loop? Running at the heart of it, with science and technology woven into the day.

One more orbit.

At a loop-style running festival, a friend who had never run farther than a 5K finished a full marathon.

One lap, then another. Twenty-six point two miles.

A big distance can be hard to picture. The next lap is easier to imagine. You know the route. You know where it brings you back. You get a chance to check in with yourself and ask a smaller question: have I got one more?

The effort is still real. But breaking a challenge into something familiar can let you attempt more than you thought you could.

That is the idea behind one more orbit. Another lap can become a reason to reconsider a limit you had taken for granted.

Why running. Why science.

We live alongside AI now. It writes, reasons, and creates, and with that comes real unease: questions about work, purpose, and where people fit.

Those questions lead somewhere more fundamental: what does it mean to be human?

Running brings that question out of the abstract.

You feel your breathing. You feel the work in your legs. Whatever your intelligence, background, age, shape, or size, the effort is yours. You have a body to listen to and limits to understand. Some days you surprise yourself. Other days you learn where you are.

Science belongs in that experience. The physics of motion. The physiology of effort and recovery. The technology that helps us understand our bodies.

Technology shows us what we can build. Running shows us who we are.

ORBIT explores both together: what our bodies can do, and how they do it.

Humanity at the center.

ORBIT brings running, wellness, science, and technology together around one shared loop.

Choose your distance: 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, or 50K. Runners chasing very different goals keep coming back to the same place, among the same people.

It is a day for runners, families, builders, and the curious. Come to challenge yourself, learn something, or cheer someone on. There is room for all of it.

Humanity at the center. Everything else in orbit around it.
